Creating a password
After you open the invitation link from your email, you need to set a password to activate your Phormic account. This step completes your account setup.
Opening the setup page
- Click “Set up your account” in the invitation email, or paste the invitation link into your browser.
- The application checks that the link is valid and not expired.
- If the link is valid, you see a form to create your password.
Password requirements
Your password must meet the following requirement:
- At least 8 characters long.
Choose a strong password that you do not use elsewhere. Avoid easy-to-guess patterns and personal information.
Setting your password
- Enter your new password in the Password field.
- Enter the same password again in the confirmation field.
- Click the button to submit (e.g. Set password or Activate account).
The system will:
- Check that the two password entries match.
- Check that the password length is at least 8 characters.
- Save your password and activate your account.
- Invalidate the invitation link so it cannot be used again.
After setting your password
- You see a success message indicating that your account has been activated.
- You can now log in with your email (or username, depending on your organization’s settings) and the password you just set.
If something goes wrong
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| “Invalid or expired activation token” | The link has expired or was already used. Ask your administrator to resend the activation email. |
| “Passwords do not match” | Re-enter the password and confirmation so they are identical. |
| “Password must be at least 8 characters long” | Choose a longer password. |
| Link does not open or shows an error | Copy the full link from the email and try again in a new browser tab, or ask your administrator for a new invitation. |
